Should the splitter be centralized or distributed?

Compare feeder-fiber use, cabinet and closure space, access for maintenance, subscriber density, route lengths, growth areas, failure isolation, and the number of optical interfaces. Record the selected split stage and physical location on the same port map.

What belongs in an FTTH optical-path schedule?

List each cable section and length, fiber ID, splice, connector pair, adapter, splitter input and output, expected component loss, engineering reserve, test wavelength, acceptance result, and subscriber destination. Keep design values separate from measured handover results.

Can all SC connectors be treated as interchangeable?

No. Record UPC or APC polish at the ODF, splitter, adapter, terminal box, drop, outlet, and equipment port. The mating interfaces must match, and connectors should be cleaned and inspected before optical testing.
